That's why you cannot use xDrip and the Dexcom app at the same time to collect from the same transmitter. We have G6 since end of August and we were never able to restart it:(. Before August we had G5, and we had never any problem with sensor restart. I tried stop - strat with 0000 - stop - start with real code, but I was never lucky. The battery metrics for G6 are different. xDrip does normally automatically adjust for what we know about G6 so far. What would be helpful would be to build up some information about what a fresh battery level looks like and what it is at 90-100 days and what it is when the transmitter stops functioning correctly.

I have read just a little bit here and there about using xdrip+ to collect Dexcom G6 data with a Sony watch (sorry, can’t remember the name right now). I would like to set this up for my daughter, but I’m not sure how to start. I don’t understand what Nightscout is or how it enters into things. I read the steps posted here xDrip+ with Sony Smartwatch3 (self made CGM) for setting this up

There is an app “xDrip for iOS” that has nothing to do with the original xDrip+ for Android. For G6 transmitters manufactured after fall/end of 2018 (i.e. serial no. starting with 80 or 81) you can use the master version.
